The festival aims to promote tourism, local culture, and the maritime legacy of Beypore.

The fourth edition of the Beypore Water Fest, an aquatic cultural fete held in Kozhikode’s coastal town of Beypore, will be held from December 27 to 29 this year. Adventure water sports, art, music, and food fests will also be held as part of the event. The food fest, which is one of the main attractions of the fest, will commence early on December 25 and continue until January 1, 2025. Beypore Beach, Chaliyam Beach, and Feroke Mini Stadium will be the main venues for the fest's programmes. The inauguration of the Beypore Marina and the renovated Chaliyam Beach will be held prior to the water fest. The renovation of the roundabout at the breakwater area will also be completed soon. Exhibitions of handcrafted items and dresses were also part of this season of the water fest.

Events
A few of the events expected to be part of the programme schedule this year are bamboo rafting, white water kayaking, sit-on-top (SOT) kayaking, sailing regatta, bamboo rafting, country boat races, sea kayak races, wing foiling and angling. There will also be competitions for local people including fishing, net casting and wooden boat paddling. The festival aims to promote tourism, local culture, and the maritime legacy of Beypore. The event is also a platform to showcase the skills of traditional artisans and craftsmen from the area.
