Entry to several places is banned until further notice.

As heavy rains continue across Kerala causing landslides and floods, many tourist places have closed to ensure safety. According to tourism department officials, they will remain closed until the rain warnings are lifted. Here are the details:
Ernakulam
1) Ecotourism centres under Malayattoor forest division
2) Panieli Poru, Bhoothathankettu and Mahagani Thottam will remain closed on July 31, August 1 and 2nd. 
3) All tourism centres under Ernakulam DTPC are to remain closed until further notice.
Thrissur
Entry at all tourist spots is banned till July 31, for the time being. Commutation via Malakkappara and Chalakkudy is restricted. 

Kottayam
No entry into Ilaveezhapoonchira, Illikkal Kallu and Marmala till further notice. Night travel on Erattupetta - Vagamon road is banned till August 4. 
Palakkad
No entry into any tourist spots in the district till August 2. The district is on Yellow Alert (isolated rainfall) on July 31. 
Wayanad, Kannur, Malappuram and Kozhikode
No entry into any tourist spots in the districts until further notice. They will be on Orange Alert (Very Heavy Rainfall) on July 31. 
Idukki
The Pooppara-Munnar Gap road and the Adimali-Munnar road are fully closed due to landslips in various places including Pallivasal. Therefore, there will be no access to Devikulam, for the time being. The Old Munnar region is also partially flooded. The Panamkutty bridge on Adimaly-Kumily Road is also almost submerged.
