From Kaipalli in Poonjar Thekkekara panchayat, a steep climb uphill leads us to Muthukoramala, a hill station located parallel to the Vagamon Hills. It is a 3 km off-road from Kaipalli. Once there you can simply take a stroll and enjoy the view. This is an ideal place for adventure travellers as well.

The gorges of Muthukoramala can be very dangerous. It is a steep ravine thousands of feet deep. Hence, standing on the top of the rock can be risky. Muthukoramala is definitely known as the Meesapulimala of Kottayam. The forest area is about three kilometres long and is covered with grass, rocks, small shrubs and trees. One can enjoy a beautiful view of nature by climbing up the towering grass. From the top of the cliff, which can be seen in all 4 directions, one can see all 4 districts. During the monsoon season, the snow-capped mountains provide a feast for the eyes. Not to forget the cool climate!
