Cafe Happy Kochi at Panampilly Nagar is introducing the 'pay what you like' concept in the city. Guests can order the dishes they want and pay any amount they like at this eatery. In fact, Cafe Happy Kochi is believed to be the first such restaurant in Kerala.
However, western countries have been familiar with this idea for some years.
Another peculiarity of the cafe is that a customer's bill would have been paid in advance by somebody who visited the place earlier. When this customer pays an amount to the eat-out, it would cover the cost of the dishes ordered by another person who arrives at the restaurant later.

The restaurant was launched by three youths, Ashik, Deepak, and Manu. A major portion of the profits from the restaurant is dedicated to charity. All the three young founders are involved in the day-to-day functioning of the eatery. In fact, the owners themselves engage in cooking and serving.
Most of the common items offered by Kochi restaurants are available at Café Happy Kochi too, including French fries, beef dishes, and 'pazham pori' (sweet banana fritters). Kochi has numerous eating options but the experience offered by Café Happy Kochi is unique. It is indeed the ideal place to step in for people looking for a difference.
