Abu Dhabi's Yas Island: Why celebs and adventure seekers love it

A land where culture and luxury go hand-in-hand, Abu Dhabi has been a travellers' paradise, enticing wanderless seekers across ages. Many Malayali celebrities have also been posting pictures and videos from their holidays in the emirate's leisure hub, Yas Island, of late. Kalyani Priyadarshan was the first to come to social media with Yas Water World and the amazing views it offers to the viewers. Yas Island's beauty includes entertainment, delicious food, and views that can be described as royal. Kalyani Priyadarshan testifies that this island is a place that should definitely be included in the bucket list of any traveller. 

Kalyani also shared pictures of her being with Ahana Krishna and her sisters Ishani and Hansika. Yas Island, a major tourist destination in Abu Dhabi, is one of the favourite destinations for tourists. This amazing island is home to many entertainment, leisure, and shopping facilities such as Yas Water World, Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi, Sea World Abu Dhabi, Climb Abu Dhabi, Yas Marina Circuit, Ferrari World, Yas Links, Yas Beach, and Yas Mall. Yas Island is a 20-minute drive from Abu Dhabi and a 50-minute drive from Dubai.

The island covers a total area of 25 square kilometres. Since 2009, the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix has been held at the Yas Marina Circuit on Yas Island. The world's fastest roller coaster, Formula Rossa, is in the Ferrari World Park. In November 2009, Yas Island was selected as the world's leading tourism project at the World Travel Awards. Yas Islands is a fully packaged tour package that includes a variety of entertainment and sights that will satisfy children and adults alike, as well as facilities for shopping lovers.

The island's main attraction, Ferrari World, opened to visitors in 2010. As mentioned above, this park has the world's fastest roller coaster. Its speed is 240 mph. Yas Water World on this island is one of the top 20 water parks in the world. This water park has many attractions for children and adults. Another major attraction here is Warner Bros. World. The attractions here are arranged in six themes. Gotham City, Metropolis, Cartoon Junction, Bedrock, Dynamite Gulch, and Warner Bros Plaza. Gotham and Metropolis are based on superheroes such as Superman and Batman. Comic superheroes can be seen in Cartoon Junction and Dynamite Gulch, along with Wonder Woman, Looney Tunes, and Hanna-Barbara. Warner Bros. Plaza is a glimpse into Hollywood's past. The park opened to the public in July 2018. It is the third Warner Bros. theme park in the world.

The world's largest indoor climbing wall is on Yas Island. It is 43 metres high. The world's widest, ten-metre vertical wind tunnel is also a unique sight in Climb Abu Dhabi. The entertainment on Yas Island does not end here. For sports enthusiasts, the Yas Marina Circuit, cycling races, golf courses, etc., are special features here.

Another attraction on Yas Island is the marine life theme park called Sea World Abu Dhabi. You can see about 150 different species of marine life here. Everything is arranged in different themes, including entertainment. Some species are found in the tropics, Arctic and Antarctic, and species live in different climates. The theme park on Yas Island is home to the world's largest aquarium. This is a multi-species marine life aquarium. Built on five indoor levels, this park has an exhibition of more than 150 species of marine animals, including sharks, various types of fish, sea turtles, reptiles, amphibians, etc.

The Abu Dhabi government presented the world with the world's largest multi-species marine life aquarium with more than 68,000 marine animals. Located on Yas Island, the theme park is spread over 183,000 square metres across five indoor levels. It features eight mesmerizing zones that give guests an insight into the vast ocean life. Each zone in the theme park is designed to transport guests to different environments worldwide.

One Ocean
It is the park's main hub and entry point to other areas and the animal sanctuary. This immersive centre, which offers a 360-degree view, has a circular screen that is 218 metres wide and 15 metres high. The Animal Museum is located next to it.
Abu Dhabi Ocean
Abu Dhabi Ocean is a place where you can get amazing insights into the marine ecosystem of the Arabian Gulf. It is a centre of heritage and ecology, offering a rich history of Bedouin families involved in the pearl trade. Highlights of the area include pearl diving shows, touch pools, and the Abu Dhabi Souk.

Rocky Point
Rocky Point is set in the Pacific Northwest of the US. This area is even more attractive from the sea lions resting on the rocks to their feeding. Similarly, the habitat here is created to resemble the Pacific Northwest.
Micro Ocean
Micro Ocean is an area that features a variety of zones that educate and inspire guests. It is also a zone full of rides. It features four rides, play areas, and live entertainment.
Tropical Ocean
As the name suggests, dolphins and lush green forests can be seen here. It consists of a crystal-clear lagoon, waterfalls, and marine life. You can enjoy dolphin watching and entertainment here.

Arctic
This place will give you a glimpse of the polar ocean. The Arctic has its own unique environment, home to a diverse range of animals, such as walruses and puffins.
Antarctica
Antarctica, as the name suggests, is the polar opposite of the Arctic. This region has an air temperature of 1 degree Celsius and a water temperature of 7 degrees Celsius, providing the perfect environment for Antarctic penguins. Here, you can experience penguin habitats, play, and delicious cuisine.
Endless Ocean
The largest multi-species marine life aquarium is here, housing over 68,000 creatures. Apart from the aquarium, you can also get a closer look at the diversity of the ocean. The aquarium is filled with 25 million litres of water. This place is sure to attract anyone.

The beach on the island is where most visitors spend most of their time. Since it is full of mangroves, mangrove tours are held here daily. The Noukhada Adventure Company is in charge of this tour. Those who want to enjoy the beauty of the mangrove can join this trip. There is a venue for live music concerts adjacent to Yas Beach. Many world-famous musicians have come here to perform, with Madonna, Shakira, and Beyonce being among them. One of the largest shopping malls in Abu Dhabi is located on this island.
