Youngsters love travelling and do not hesitate to spontaneously pack their bags and set out for long or short trips. However, most people are wary of traveling once they get married and have a baby, as often it can be a challenge to travel with a child. However, actress and dancer Utthara Unni says that travelling is possible even if you have a baby. It was in July this year that her daughter Dheemahi had turned one. In a recent video, Utthara shared snippets from their trips to around six countries around the world with baby Dheemahi, already. She also shared a cute photo with her daughter on her social media page a day ago, captioning it, 'Best travel partner since 2023.'
In the video on her social media handle with the tagline, ‘When they said ‘You won’t be able to travel once you have a baby,’ she has included pictures and videos taken at some of the iconic landmarks in the countries they had visited. Last year, Utthara apparently travelled to Spain, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark and Malaysia with her husband and baby. Baby Dheemahi is seen having a great time with her parents at these places. Meanwhile, people have been commenting on the video, expressing their admiration for Utthara and her husband’s passion for travel. However, some comments say it is easy to travel with children until they turn two, and it would get difficult once they start running around. Many people showered praise on the family, saying that both mother and baby look cute in the pictures.
How to travel safe with a baby?
Here are a few tips you can employ if you want to take your baby to distant destinations:
1) If possible, pick baby-friendly accommodations and travel options
2) Check with your doctor on medications and vaccinations required. Include a first-aid kit with fever medications, band-aids and a thermometre also. The health records of the kid can also be carried digitally on your devices
3) Be aware of areas that do not allow to take babies along.
4) Carry essentials like diapers, bottles, their favourite toys (preferably quiet ones), wipes and more without fail.
5) Carry all the travel documents required.
6) Carry a travel-friendly car seat.
7) Sanitize high chairs, strollers, and toys, and avoid letting your baby touch dirty surfaces.
8) Dress your baby appropriately for the weather and keep an extra set handy.
9) Ensure the hotel or rental you take are safe for babies.
