How many of us will dare to click a selfie with a living, moving lion?
Well, Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas recently did. The actor, who was at Chobe National Park in the African country of Botswana captured a selfie with a moving lion in the background and curiously captioned it, 'selfie with simham!'
The actor, who recently posted a 'Happy Easter' video in which a butterfly can be seen tenderly crawling up his neck, seems to be amid a lot of animal life as he vacations in the African country.
A park renowned for its lions
The Southern African country of Botswana, which houses the mighty Kalahari Desert, also has the renowned national park named Chobe, which is named after a river which flows through the desert. The park is noted for its huge lion and elephant population. Apparently, the elephants found here are often claimed as the biggest in the species. The country is even known as the elephant capital of the world, thanks to the population of the tuskers at Chobe!
Interestingly, unlike many national parks, Chobe is open around the year, though April to September is considered the best time to check it out.
Botswana, the beauty
Known for its incredible natural beauty, wildlife, game reserves, river cruises and more, Botswana offers all things cool for tourists who love to spend time on the lap of nature. The country is often termed the best for wildlife safaris, with its numerous national parks and game reserves, that let you check out animals like elephant, lion, cheetah, giraffe and numerous species of birds. Interestingly, they are not fenced and thus offers an authentic, open campus experience at these nature reserves.
Many tourists here opt for a light aircraft to fly from camp to camp, to enjoy the wildlife and Savannah to its fullest. Apparently, most tourist camping lodges are also located close to airfields or airstrips.
