Now, Ahaana has posted pictures of her dreamy winter vacation in Jammu Kashmir. The actress is accompanied by her mother and sisters. Besides, she has shared a lovely note for her mother Sindhu, who celebrated her 51st birthday recently.
“Planning like a maniac to ensure that you see snow for the first time in your life, on your birthday this year and thereby making true one of your biggest wishes has been such a satisfying activity,” wrote Ahaana.
The actress also shared a picture of the mom-daughter duo enjoying a hot cup of coffee in the chilly winter of Kashmir.
The first snowfall of the season was recorded this week in Kashmir. Visitors have been thronging major tourist hill stations like Gulmarg, Sonmarg and Pahalgam to enjoy the snow. Moreover, the resorts here have arranged skiing facilities too. The local people, meanwhile, are thrilled to welcome a bustling tourist season after the bleak pandemic woes. However, there have been instances of traffic block due to heavy snowfall in the high ranges like Kupwara, Bandipora and Sonmarg.
The temperature in the valley has dropped significantly this week. The lowest temperature in Srinagar was 4.2 degrees while it was 4.5 degrees in Gulmarg. The Jammu Kashmir tourism department is all set to welcome the iconic winter tourist season. The government hopes that more tourists would reach the valley this winter season. The authorities plan to announce interesting discounts and offers to the tourists who reach Kashmir to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
The winter festivals in the hill stations like Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg are quite famous. Besides, the government plans to organise skiing competitions at Pahalgam and Sonmarg this year. Earlier, skiing tournaments were held only in Gulmarg.
