For obvious reasons, the worst nightmare for avid travellers is to stay indoors. The COVID-19-induced lockdown curbs are getting on their nerves, but travel aficionados are reminiscing about the trips undertaken or weaving dreams about the future tours to beat the monotony of the present situation.
Everyone, including celebrities and commoners, is hoping to step out into a world free of the contagious coronavirus. And Bollywood actress Taapsee Panu is no different.
The actress has shared her travel memories on Instagram and says she is eagerly waiting to kickstart her travel escapades after the prevailing conditions end. She also gives a ringside view of her favourite destination.
Taapsee just fell in love with Rome, the capital city of Italy. "One of those trips I just decided to take very impulsively. Rome was on the list for a long time. I love seeing places which should either have a beach, crystal blue water, and good restaurants or should have a lot of history to know and study about," wrote the actress on an Instagram post.
The historic city has some exotic restaurants, and Taapsee with the help of local apps was able to locate these eating outlets and travel locally without any hassles. The quaint cafes will make you pause, she adds. The actress says the memories will stay till she experiences the thrill of travelling again.
"But until then, we can make a list of all places in the world we want to see coz life is too short and we all have witnessed that it’s quite possible that things won’t be the same tomorrow," she notes.
Rome was known as the 'world capital' during the 1,500-year-long reign of the great Roman empire. The main tourist attractions of Rome include the Colosseum built in AD 80, the Roman Forum, the Trevi Fountain, the Piazza Novona, St Peter's Basilica, and Sistine Chapel, among others.
