Kerala Blasters have confirmed two more exits in addition to star striker Dimitrios Diamantakos. The Indian Super League side announced on Friday that veteran goalkeeper Karanjit Singh and assistant coach Frank Dauwen have left.
Karanjit, who joined the Blasters in January 2022, was the second-choice goalkeeper behind Sachin Suresh. The 38-year-old still managed seven appearances, including five starts in the 2023-24 season.
Belgian coach Dauwen was in charge at the start of the season when head coach Ivan Vukomanovic was suspended. Dauwen's exit means new coach Mikael Stahre will bring his choice of coaches to the staff.
"Frank's dedication and passion for the game have been evident on and off the field, and we extend our sincere appreciation for his tireless efforts," the Blasters said in a press release.
The club also made official the exit of striker Diamantakos, who was their leading goalscorer last season. Diamantakos, who netted 13 times, was only the second Blasters player to finish as the league's top scorer after Bart Ogbeche, who scored 15 in the 2019-20 season.
