Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala will have a new football league from this November. The Kerala Super League (KSL), featuring eight professional teams, will be held at four different venues -- Kochi, Kozhikode, Manjeri and Thiruvananthapuram.
The league is being organised by Scoreline Sports and KSL.
Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan unveiled the KSL logo at a ceremony held here on Wednesday.

The chief minister expressed hope that hosting the KSL would take Kerala's football enthusiasm to significantly higher levels, while Vijayan said, "Finally, Kerala will have its own world-class football league."
Senior officials from the All India Football Federation (AIFF), Kerala Football Association (KFA), Kerala State Sports Council, and Sports Kerala Foundation were also present on the occasion.
Sports Minister V Abdulrahman formally kicked off the KSL.
According to KSL CEO Mathew Joseph, the tournament is being launched after months of meticulous planning and no efforts will be spared to attract football fans and talents to the stadiums.
"There will be domestic and international players as per (the) AIFF rules, and the league is officially sanctioned by (the) AIFF and KFA," added Joseph.
