Shahrukh Khan smashed an unbeaten century to rescue Tamil Nadu from a shaky position against Uttar Pradesh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.
The right-hand batter made 132 not out from 85 balls, scoring seven sixes and 13 boundaries. He came in at a time the TN innings was reeling at 68/5. Khan held an unbeaten 216-run partnership with Mohamed Ali (76) as Tamil Nadu posted 284/5 in 47 overs.
Rink Singh-led UP were bowled out for 170 with Vijay Shankar, Varun Chakravarthy and Sandeep Warrier bagging two wickets each. Keralite Sandeep also bowled a maiden over. For UP, Rink made 55, while Priyam Garg added 48.
