Birmingham: Indian opener Rohit Sharma added another feather to his illustrious career on Tuesday as he equalled former Sri Lanka skipper Kumar Sangakara's record of most centuries in a single edition of the World Cup.

Enroute, Rohit has also become the leading run-getter in this World Cup after accumulating 544 runs from seven innings. He is followed by Australians David Warner (516 runs) and Aaron Finch (504 runs) at the second and third place respectively.
Earlier, Rohit has smashed tons against South Africa (122 runs), Pakistan (140 runs) and England (102 runs).
Meanwhile, after adding just four runs, Rohit also completed 1000 runs in 2019 to become the only Indian batsman to reach 1000-run mark in this short span. He has become the third player after Finch (1138) and Usman Khawaja (1067) to reach 1000 ODI runs in 2019.
Prior to Tuesday's match, Rohit had amassed 440 runs in six innings he played in the World Cup so far.
