Kerala will take on defending champions Vidarbha in the Ranji Trophy semifinals at the Krishangiri Stadium in Wayanad from Thursday.

Vidarbha crushed Uttarakhand by an innings and 115 runs in the first session of the final day's play at Nagpur on Saturday to seal their place in the semifinals.

Kerala had scored a thumping 113-run win over former champions Gujarat at the Krishnagiri Stadium to qualify for the semifinals for the first first time on Thursday.

Vidarbha, who have in their ranks the prolific Wasim Jaffer, had outplayed Kerala by an a huge margin of 412 runs in the quarterfinals last year at Surat. Jaffer has been in supreme form this season and made 206 against Uttarakhand.
