New Zealand's Indian-origin Test player Jeet Raval hit one of the most bizarre sixes during a domestic one-day competition on Tuesday. The left-hander stepped out and smashed one straight at Canterbury medium-pacer Andrew Ellis. The bowler got hit on his head and Raval rushed towards Ellis to check with him. In the mean time a funny thing occurred. The ball had ricocheted off Ellis' head and went for a six over long-on!
Raval went to make a strokeful 149 off 153 deliveries as Auckland amassed 304/6 in their quota of 50 overs.
After clearing all the medical tests conducted outside the ground to rule out concussion fears, Ellis returned to the field and ended up with figures of 2/52 off seven overs. To top it all one his victims was Raval!
