South Indian actor Meghana Raj has been accused of cheating a businessman. Janardhan, a Tamil Nadu-based businessman, has filed a complaint against the actor accusing that she cheated him by backtracking after promising to marry him.
In his complaint via e-mail to Bengaluru City Police Commissioner N.S. Megharikh, Janardhan alleged that Meghana had promised to marry him but later stepped back from the decision. He also alleged that the actor stole some documents relating to his business. The complainant has said he has evidence that he was in a relationship with the actor.
The case has been handed over to the JP Nagar police for investigation.
However, the actress has denied the allegations.
Meghana, who has acted in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada films, is the daughter of popular actor couple Sundar Raj and Prameela Joshi. Hallelooya is Meghna's next film in Malayalam that is gearing up for a release.
