New Delhi: The Supreme Court has allowed jailed PDP leader Abdul Nasser Madani to visit his ailing mother in Kerala.

The prime accused in the 2008 Bengaluru serial blasts case had appealed to the apex court to allow him to visit his cancer-stricken mother, who is in a critical condition. The Karantaka government had contested Madani's plea, saying that he could try to influence the witnesses in the case in Kerala.

The SC said that it's for the trial court to decide for how many days Madani can be allowed to visit Kerala. The apex court also instructed Madani to submit the medical details of his mother.
