New Delhi: The Kerala High Court on Monday maintained in the Supreme Court that opening the media room, which is closed down following the stand off between scribes and the advocates, will create more problems. The HC informed the apex court that it will be considering the issue on November 21.
Meanwhile, the Supreme Court observed that senior lawyers should come forward to resolve the issue.
When the case came up for hearing in the SC last time, the HC had stated that attempts were being made at the higher level to find a solution. The case was deferred for two weeks following the High Court plea.
It was on July 19 that skirmishes broke out between mediapersons and lawyers on the High Court premises in Kochi leading to violent clashes. The media room in the court complex was shut down by the lawyers following the stand off. Though chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan met the High Court chief justice, the issue remained unresolved.
