Malappuram: Two siblings from Malappuram were killed after the car they were travelling in collided with a Tempo Traveller at a toll gate near Gundlupet, Karnataka, on Tuesday morning. Muskanul Firdouse (21) and Shehshad (24) died in the accident at Bendagalli Gate in Gundlaupet.
Their father and Kondotty native Abdul Azeez (45), family members, Shaasiya (25), Sinan (17), Adil (16), Shanij (16), Adam (4), and eight-month-old Ayath sustained injuries in the mishap. While on a family trip to Mysuru, their car (KL 84 B 0372), collided with the Tempo Traveller in the wee hours of Tuesday.
Three of the injured were critical and admitted to different hospitals for treatment. Two have been shifted from Gundlupet to a hospital in Kozhikode for specialised care.
