Thiruvananthapuram: The government has issued a dies non order to counter the strike organised by employees and teachers under the leadership of Congress and CPI-affiliated organisations on Wednesday. The salaries of those absent from work will be deducted from February's pay, and unauthorised leaves will also be considered under the dies non declaration.
The strike has been called by 15 service organisations led by the Congress and the joint council under CPI's leadership. Their key demands include withdrawing the contributory pension scheme, initiating pay revision processes, and bringing the Medisep scheme under direct government control.
