Train traffic between Irinjalakuda and Pudukkad has been delayed due to damage of Overhead Equipment (OHE) caused by a vehicle trespassing and damaging a level cross here on Thursday. This has caused detention of few trains on both up and down lines, according to a release issued by the Railways.
Here is the list of trains which have been delayed:
1. Train No. 22648 Kochuveli - Korba Express delayed between Irinjalakuda and Punkunnam.
2. Train No. 16650 Kanniyakumari - Mangaluru Central Parasuram Express at Chalakkudy.
3. Train No. 17229 Thiruvananthapuram - Secunderabad Sabari Express at Angamaly for Kalady.
4. Train No. 56316 Thrissur - Guruvayur Passenger between Thrissur and Poonkunnam .
5. Train No. 08539 – Visakhapatnam–Kollam Special at Punkunnam.
6. Train No. 16345 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus - Thiruvananthapuram Central Nethravathi Express.
7. Train No. 17230 Secunderabad - Thiruvananthapuram Sabari Express at Thrissur.
8. Train No. 16649 Mangaluru Central–Kanniyakumari Junction Parasuram Express at Mulankunnathukavu .
Efforts are underway to restore normal train operations at the earliest. Overhead Maintenance Tower Cars from Thrissur and Chalakkudy are engaged for restoration works.
