At least 38 injured as private bus rams tree in Paravur

Kochi: Thirty-eight people were injured as a bus lost control and rammed a tree near Paravur, Ernakulam on Wednesday. The private bus was on the way to Vyttila from Guruvayur. The accident took place at Valluvally around 6.30 am.

The driver of the bus was severely injured as he got stuck between the steering wheel and his seat, and it took nearly one hour to get him out. The injured have been admitted to various hospitals. 

Police and the Fire and Rescue Service personnel led the rescue works with the involvement of local residents.
