Kozhikode: Two men were found dead in a caravan parked at Karimbanappalam, near Vadakara, around 8.30 pm on Monday. The deceased are Manoj of Malappuram and Joyal of Kasaragod. One body was found lying on the steps of the caravan, while the other was inside the vehicle.

Manoj and Joyal were employees of a caravan tourism company based in Ponnani. The caravan was returning to Ponnani after being hired for a wedding in Thalassery.

According to residents in the area, the caravan had been parked on the roadside for two days. On Monday evening, they found Manoj and Joyal lying unconscious inside the carriage and alerted the police. "We received a call around 8.45 pm about a caravan parked near the KTDC building. Upon arriving and investigating, we found the two men dead inside," said a police officer from the Vadakara station. Police suspect asphyxiation from an AC gas leak to be the cause of death.
