Thrissur: ADGP Ajith Kumar's inquiry report into the Thrissur Pooram disruptions is incomplete, said former agriculture minister Sunil Kumar. The CPI leader was in the fray in the Lok Sabha election against eventual winner Suresh Gopi of the BJP.

"He has blamed the entire Thiruvambady Desam to protect the real culprits," he told  Manorama News. "In my written statement to the police, I mentioned that certain individuals involved in the management of the festival acted politically and with wrong intentions," he said.

His statement comes after ADGP Ajith Kumar submitted an inquiry report into the Thrissur Pooram sabotage. The report, which gave the police a clean chit, asserted that the disruptions were part of a premeditated attempt to influence the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Additionally, it identified certain officials of the Thiruvambady Devaswom, along with their associates, including outsiders, who conspired to disrupt the festival and manipulate public sentiment against the district administration and the state government.
