Kozhikode: Mohammed Shuhaib, CEO of the online tuition platform MS Solutions, believed to be involved in the recent question paper leak scandal, was served with a summons notice by the Kozhikode Crime Branch on Saturday. He sought anticipatory bail from the Principal District and Sessions Court here on Friday.

Shuhaib’s lawyer, Firdouse, confirmed the development to Onmanorama. On Friday, the Crime Branch raided Shuhaib’s residence and office in Koduvally, seizing electronic devices such as a laptop, hard drive, mobile phone, and several documents.

The Crime Branch registered a First Information Report on Friday after a four-day investigation that culminated in the raid. The operation, which involved multiple teams, began in the morning and continued into the evening.

The complaint, filed by the Director General of Education, alleges that the question papers for the Class 10 English and Plus-One Maths half-yearly exams were leaked. The question papers allegedly appeared on the YouTube channel of MS Solutions the day before the exams.

The case, filed under sections including cheating, was registered at the Crime Branch headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram and subsequently handed over to the Kozhikode Crime Branch. The investigation is being led by Crime Branch Superintendent of Police Moideen Kutty.
