Kochi: A Tamil Nadu man was found stuck on a gate of Mangalavanam Bird Sanctuary on Saturday morning. The security staff spotted his naked body, which was impaled on a sharp rod of the gate. Police arrived at the scene and initiated inquest procedures.
It is assumed that the man who was drunk died during the night while attempting to climb on the 10-foot gate.
The public is restricted from entering the bird sanctuary and its premises at night. Speaking to the media, Kochi DCP KS Sudharsan confirmed that a case of unnatural death has been registered. The body was found in the reserve forest area of Mangalavanam.
