Kochi: Another female actor has approached the Supreme Court challenging the Special Investigation Team's (SIT) probe into the sexual assault cases registered over the revelations in the Hema Committee report. In her plea before the apex court, she raised concerns over the possible tampering of her testimony, which was recorded before the Hema Committee. Criticizing the SIT, she alleged that no official had contacted her as part of the investigation.

The actor voiced her concerns in an application seeking to join a petition against the SIT’s probe into the Hema Committee report. She argued that she had appeared before the committee after receiving assurances that her statement would remain confidential. The Malayalam actor expressed her worry about her privacy after the release of the Hema Committee report.

In November, actor Maala Parvathi also filed a petition in the Supreme Court, making serious allegations against the SIT. She accused the probe team of targeting the women who had appeared before the committee. Parvathi further claimed that, despite her refusal to register a case, the SIT initiated an investigation based on her statement in the Hema Committee report.
