Pathanamthitta: The CPM district secretary on Tuesday refuted allegations of confrontations among leaders in a recent party meeting.
The accusations of heated exchanges and physical confrontation over non-cooperation in the election campaign for LDF candidate TM Thomas Isaac were baseless, said CPM Pathanamthitta district secretary KP Udayabhanu. The allegations were part of a smear campaign, he added stating that legal measures would be pursued against those spreading misinformation.
Kerala Minister for Sports and Cooperation VN Vasavan, who chaired the controversial meeting, also denied any significant issues within the party gathering at Pathanamthitta.
