Kottayam: Tiny tots were introduced to the world of letters at the 'Vidyarambham' ceremony held at Malayala Manorama here on Tuesday.
The event was conducted at 11 units of Manorama in Kerala, along with Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai and Dubai.
Social, cultural, literary and artistic personalities led the ceremony on Tuesday. Former chief priest of Guruvayur temple Dr Thottam Sivakaran Namboothiri, former member of the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions and former Vice Chancellor of MG University Dr Cyriac Thomas, current VC of MG University Dr Sabu Thomas, former Vice Chancellors of MG University Dr Jancy James, Dr CT Aravindkumar, Dr Babu Sebastian, writer and poet Rosemary and former Director of Higher Education James Joseph led the ceremony in Kottayam.
Malayala Manorama has been organising the event since the year 2000. A certificate carrying a photo will be presented to all children taking part in the event.
