Thiruvananthapuram: Union members who arrived to lay siege to the headquarters of Kerala State Electricity Board Limited (KSEBL) at Pattom were blocked by a large posse of police in battle gear.

The left-leaning KSEB Officers Association (KSEBOA) had threatened to lay siege to the headquarters with at least 1,000 members in its bid to browbeat the management. KSEB Chairman B Ashok has earned the wrath of the CPM-affiliated union for not yielding to the pressure tactics of the union members.
