3 killed after bikes collide on MC road's notorious stretch near Changanassery

Kottayam: Three youngsters were killed when their bikes collided near St Berchmans College on MC Road in Changanassery on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Ajmal Roshan (27, son of Palliparambil Shanavas and Jeby), Rudraksh (20, who hails from Vazhappally) and Alex (26).
The accident occurred at 9 pm.
Though the locals rushed the injured youths to the Changanassery General Hospital, their lives could not be saved. Ajmal succumbed first. The other two by 12:30 am on Saturday.
The long stretch of the MC road between Kottayam and Changanassery has witnessed a slew of accidents these past years. It is mostly youngsters who meet with accidents here.
Locals say high-speed racing and daredevils stunts are common on these roads. Such stunts have also resulted in the deaths of others, they said.
