Manorama News Conclave 2019 to begin at 9.30

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the Manorama News Conclave from New Delhi via video-conferencing.

Kochi: The Manorama News Conclave 2019, which is set to debate on the compelling theme of 'New India', will begin at 9.30am in Kochi on Friday. The expectations, possibilities and challenges before India in this era of change would be deliberated upon at the event.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the conclave from New Delhi via video-conferencing. Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Prakash Javadekar would deliver the keynote address on 'New India - the government and media'.

Experts from various fields would join the discussions that would be spread across eight sessions throughout the day. Discussions would be held on varied topics like new Indian nationalist, politics, new boundaries of belief, youth, and opportunities for Kerala.

Varun Gandhi, MP, would talk about the farming and rural sectors while Byju Raveendran, who launched the Byju’s learning app, would share his thoughts on the global opportunities that open up for new ideas.

Kerala Finance Minister Dr T M Thomas Isaac, Higher Education Minister Dr K T Jaleel, BJP general secretary Muralidhar Rao, CPI general secretary D Raja, Congress MP from Thiruvananthapuram Shashi Tharoor, BJP national spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi, MP, Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra, N K Premachandran, MP, Ramya Haridas, MP, CPM politburo member Mohammed Salim, former telecom secretary Aruna Sundararajan, Commander Abhilash Tomy, film directors Priyadarshan and Aashiq Abu, actors Tovino Thomas and Parvathy Thiruvoth, former editor of ‘Organiser’ Dr R Balashankar, Alappuzha collector Dr Adeela Abdulla, Synthite Industries managing director Dr Viju Jacob, Lulu financial group managing director Adeeb Ahamed, Malayalam writer Dr S Saradakutty, and singer Sithara Krishnakumar are the other speakers at the event.

The conclave would be held at the Lulu Bolgatty International Convention Center, Grand Hyatt, in Kochi.

The invitees have to enter the hall by 9.30am.
