Manju Warrier with father Madhava WarrierThrissur: Popular Malayalam actress Manju Warrier's father, Madhava Warrier, died on Sunday.
The 70-year-old was undergoing treatment for cancer. He breathed his last at his house at Pullu in the district on Sunday afternoon.
Warrier used to initiate children to the world of letters at the Thiruvullakkavu temple in Thrissur. (In the traditional Kerala education system, such teachers were known as ezuthu asan or asan.)
Warrier's son Madhu Warrier has also acted in movies.
