Thiruvananthapuram: Of the 90,233 students who wrote both papers of the Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam this year, 58,268 students have become eligible for admission to B Tech courses. Of the 64,795 students who attempted the pharmacy entrance exam, 47,974 students have become eligible.
The scores obtained by the candidates are available on the website of the Entrance Commissioner. The engineering rank list will be published during the third week of June after considering the higher secondary marks of the students also. Similarly, the pharmacy rank list will be prepared based on the index marks and published during June third week. Students who took the Entrance Paper I are considered for the pharmacy course admission.
After the CBSE Class 12 exam results are announced, the notification for uploading the marks for engineering admissions will be released.
Only students who write both Paper I and II and scored at least 10 marks will be able to secure admission to engineering courses. Similarly, students who scored less than 10 marks out of 480 in Paper I will not be considered for pharmacy course admission. However, scheduled caste / scheduled tribe students have been exempted from the minimum mark criterion.
The results of as many as 1,772 students have been withheld due to various reasons. Their results will be published when they correct the deficiencies in their applications.
The key of the engineering entrance exam was published on April 24. The engineering entrance results were published after an expert panel studied the complaints filed regarding the answer key. Details are available on the Entrance Commissioner’s website.
Several questions dropped
Five questions from Paper I of the engineering entrance exam were excluded by the expert panel while preparing the results. The committee also decided to drop six questions from Paper II. The Entrance Commissioner’s website gives the list of questions which were avoided in each version of the question paper.
