'Spare me,' cried RJ Rajesh while we were on phone, reveals dance teacher

The dance teacher in Qatar, who was reportedly very close to Rajesh while he was in the Gulf country, has said that her former husband Abdul Sathar may not be involved in the murder.

Doha: More revelations have come out in the case of the murder of radio jockey Rajesh Kumar at Madavoor. The dance teacher in Qatar, who was reportedly very close to Rajesh while he was in the Gulf country, has said that her former husband Abdul Sathar may not be involved in the murder.

“Sathar values family relations and is unlikely to be behind the incident. Moreover, Salih bin Jalal, whom the police allege is involved in the case, was present in Qatar when the murder took place,” she told a private online news site.

The dance teacher admitted that she and Rajesh maintained extremely close relations. She had helped him financially even after he lost his job in Qatar and returned to India. “I even paid the hospital bills of Rajesh’s wife and his son’s school fees. Rajesh’s sisters know all this. Totally devoted to his family, Rajesh used to be very frank regarding his family matters with me. I knew that Rajesh’s wife was pregnant 8-9 months ago. Still, I wished to live with him sometime in future,” she said.

“After being abandoned by my family as well as husband, Rajesh was my only hope,” the dance teacher added.

She, however, said that Rajesh secured a job in Chennai not through her efforts. “I don’t have the connections for that,” she said.

Regarding her life and ventures in Qatar, she said that problems started with Sathar after she opened a beauty parlour with a loan of 4.5 lakh Riyals. Rajesh was not responsible for the loss suffered in the business or her divorce, she told the site. “I am living in Qatar for the past 13 years and have no links with any contract killer in Kerala. No woman will give a ‘quotation’ to kill an innocent man like Rajesh,” she said.

However, the woman admitted that Rajesh was attacked while he was speaking to her over the phone. “Spare me! Don't kill me! I have done no wrong,” was what Rajesh cried when the goons hacked him, said the dance teacher.

“Immediately, I tried to contact Rajesh’s father. He did not pick up the phone even after I called him thrice. So, I called a friend of Rajesh and informed him of the matter,” she said.

The woman also said that another man who was her and Sathar’s business partner had some problems with them. This man had contacted Rajesh several times, she said.

“I have already told the police that I will reveal everything I know before anybody,” she told the site.
