Thrissur: A female elephant was found dead near Valapara upstream Athirappily-Vazhachal waterfall Wednesday.
The 3-day-old carcass of the elephant was found a km near Chinnakalar by forest officials.
It is suspected that the it sustained injuries in a fight between elephants. There were deep wounds on its head and back, that is believed to have caused the death.
