Kerala Sabdam managing editor Rajakrishnan passes away

B. A. Rajakrishnan was in the forefront of all functions in Kollam.

Kollam: Veteran journalist B. A. Rajakrishnan, managing editor of Kerala Sabdam publications, died at a private hospital here on Tuesday following brief illness, family sources said.

Rajakrishnan, 70, is survived by wife, a son and two daughters.

Chief minister PinarayiVijayan condoled the death of Rajakrishnan, saying he was a personality who upheld the values and ethics of journalism.

Rajakrishnan was in the forefront of all functions in Kollam, the chief minister said adding that personally he had lost a good friend.

There were seven publications including popular film journal Nana under Kerala Sabdam group.

Rajakrishnan started his service in the publishing network led by his late father-in law R. Krishnaswamy Reddiar in 1974.

He was very active in the social and cultural fields of Kollam.

He also held several posts of various organizations, including the president of Kollam People's Initiative.
