Thiruvananthapuram: BJP national president Amit Shah has been exploring all possible political tactics to bring better luck to his party in Kerala. Even as he keeps experimenting with his strategies, his wife is apparently in search of some divine intervention to fulfill her husband's wishes.

Sonal Shah visited the Sree Padmanabha Swami temple in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday, beginning a pilgrimage to the temples of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. She is part of a 60-member team, including her relatives, from Gujarat.

Sonal's pilgrimage comes close on the heels of Amit Shah completing the first leg of his south India tour in a bid to strengthen his party's base there.

Sonal arrived at the temple at 7 am and spent over one-and-a-half-hour there. She received lotus flowers as 'prasad' from the temple.

Asked about the pilgrimage, she said she could not comment without consulting her husband.

The team was accompanied by Kerala BJP leader V. Muraleedharan also. The pilgrimage will culminate at Rameswaram.
