Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Congress (M) leader and MP, Jose K. Mani, rubbished reports of his entry into the Narendra Modi-led Union cabinet.
In a Facebook post, Jose made it clear that the proposal to join the BJP-led NDA was not there on his party's agenda.
"I doubt there is a vested interest behind such a false campaign," he said referring to reports that he was being considered for a ministerial berth in the cabinet reshuffle that is imminent.
The BJP Kerala unit has been trying to woo veteran Kerala Congress leader K.M. Mani and his party to the NDA, especially after BJP chief Amit Shah urged the party in the state to attract minorities to its fold.
Speculations regarding Jose's cabinet entry were fueled by the fact that the KC(M) remained an independent entity in the state ever since it severed its decades-long ties with the Congress-led UDF.
