Sriharikota: ISRO marked its 100th mission on Wednesday with the successful launch of the GSLV-F15 rocket carrying the navigation satellite NVS-02 from Sriharikota.

At exactly 6.23 am, following a 27.30-hour countdown, the 50.9-metre-tall rocket roared to life, ascending from the second launch pad with thick fumes trailing behind.
The GSLV-F15 follows the GSLV-F12 mission, which successfully launched the first of the second-generation navigation satellites, NVS-01, on May 29, 2023.
According to ISRO, the satellite’s key applications include terrestrial, aerial, and maritime navigation, precision agriculture, fleet management, location-based services in mobile devices, satellite orbit determination, IoT-based applications, emergency services and timing solutions.
