New Delhi: The US State Department and Mediapart, the French news outlet cited by the BJP in its allegations, have both denied the party's claims of an anti-Modi agenda. Mediapart accused the BJP of spreading misinformation. Additionally, the US Embassy has defended its stance on media freedom, rejecting the party’s interpretation of recent reports.

This response comes amid the BJP targeting Sonia Gandhi, demanding she explain her role as co-president of the Forum of Democratic Leaders-Asia Pacific (FDL-AP), which is funded by the George Soros Foundation. The BJP also pointed fingers at Congress party leaders for allegedly associating with foreign entities aiming to destabilise India.

The party alleges that the FDL-AP has supported separatist views on Kashmir and is linked to anti-India forces. BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi expressed concerns about Congress's apparent connections with George Soros-backed organisations, which the BJP claims have been working against India's interests. Trivedi also linked these organisations to the recent "anti-India experiment," alleging foreign interference in Indian politics to destabilise the government.
