Here's a list of probable ministers in this time's Modi cabinet.

New Delhi: Seventy-two ministers took oath along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening. The third NDA government's council of ministers include a mix of senior BJP leaders, new comers and allies. The senior BJP leaders from the previos cabinet who have retained key portfolios include Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman and S Jaishankar. Here's a list of ministers in Modi 3.0.

Rajnath Singh: Rajnath Singh has been the Defence Minister since 2019. He also holds the position of Deputy Leader of Lok Sabha, since 2014. Singh has served as the BJP President from 2005 to 2009 and again from 2013 to 2014.

Amit Shah: Amit Anil Chandra Shah, who was considered the second-in-command in the second Modi cabinet, held dual ministerial roles. Since 2019, he has served as the 31st Minister of Home Affairs, overseeing crucial matters of national security and internal affairs. Since 2021, he has taken on the responsibility of being the first minister of Co-operation. Prior to his ministerial roles, Shah served as the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from 2014 to 2020.

JP Nadda: Jagat Prakash 'JP' Nadda, a lawyer and seasdoned politician, has served as the 11th national president of the BJP since 2020. Nadda represents Gujarat in the Rajya Sabha. Nadda also served as Minister of Health and Family Welfare in the first Modi ministry from 2014 to 2019.

Nitin Gadkari: Nitin Gadkari, hailing from Maharashtra, currently holds the position of Minister for Road Transport & Highways in the Government of India. He is also the longest-serving Minister for Road Transport & Highways, having held the position for over nine years.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan: He served as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh from 2020 to 2023 and previously from 2005 to 2018. He has represented the Budhni constituency in the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly since 2006, and earlier from 1990 to 1991.

Nirmala Sitharaman: Nirmala Sitharaman has been serving as the Minister of Finance and Minister of Corporate Affairs in the Government of India since 2019.

S Jaishankar: Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, diplomat-turned-politician, has been serving as the Minister of External Affairs since May 30, 2019. He also holds a seat in the Rajya Sabha since July 5, 2019.

Dharmendra Pradhan: He currently serves as the Minister of Education and the Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in the Government of India. Previously, Pradhan has held ministerial positions as the Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas and the Minister of Steel.

Piyush Goyal: Piyush Vedprakash Goyal held key portfolios including Minister of Textiles, Minister of Commerce and Industry, and Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution in the NDA government.

H D Kumaraswamy (JDU): Haradanahalli Devegowda Kumaraswamy, was 18th Chief Minister of Karnataka from 2018 to 2019, and previously from 2006 to 2007. He served as the leader of the opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly from 2013 to 2014.

Jitan Ram Manjhi (HAM): Jitan Ram Manjhi, the founding President of the Hindustani Awam Morcha party, takes oath. He served as Bihar's 23rd Chief Minister from May 20, 2014, to February 20, 2015. 

Virendra Kumar Khatik: He served as the Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment. He represents the Tikamgarh constituency in the 17th Lok Sabha as a Member of Parliament. Additionally, he has held positions as the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Labour and as a Member of the General Purpose Committee.

Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu (TDP): TDP MP representing the Srikakulam Lok Sabha constituency in Andhra Pradesh. He emerged victorious in the Indian general elections of 2014 and 2019 as a candidate of the Telugu Desam Party.

Pralhad Venkatesh Joshi: He served as the Union Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Coal, and Mines of India since May 30, 2019. He has been a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha since 2004, representing the Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency.

Jual Oram: He represents the Sundargarh constituency of Odisha. He is a former Cabinet minister.

Chirag Paswan (LJP): Chirag Kumar Paswan, former actor, is the president of the Lok Janshakti Party, which is part of the NDA coilition. He is the son of the late Member of Parliament and Union Minister, Ram Vilas Paswan.

Kiren Rijiju: Kiren Rijiju, an Indian politician from Arunachal Pradesh, has been serving as the Cabinet Minister of Earth Sciences and Food Processing Industries in the Government of India since 2023 and 2024. He represents the Arunachal West constituency in the Lok Sabha and has been a member of parliament since 2014, previously serving from 2004 to 2009.

Mansukh Mandaviya: Mansukh Laxmanbhai Mandaviya held dual ministerial portfolios as the Minister of Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals and Fertilizers of India. He serves as a member of the Rajya Sabha from Gujarat.

Manohar Lal Khattar: A former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) pracharak, Manohar Lal Khattar held the position of the 10th Chief Minister of Haryana from October 26, 2014, until his resignation on March 12, 2024. He is affiliated with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Sarbanand Sonowal: Sarbananda Sonowal from Assam, served as the Cabinet Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways, and also as the Cabinet Minister of AYUSH in the Government of India. He represents Assam in the Rajya Sabha since 2021 and is a member of the Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs since the same year. He also served as the 14th Chief Minister of Assam from 2016 to 2021 and held legislative positions from 2001 to 2004 and from 2016 until his resignation in 2021.

Lalan Singh (JDU): Rajiv Ranjan Singh, also known as Lalan Singh, is a Member of Parliament representing Munger. He represents the Janata Dal party. Singh served as the national president of the JDU from July 31, 2021, to December 29, 2023, and previously held the position of JD Bihar unit President.

Giriraj Singh: He held the position of Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in the 23rd Ministry of the Republic of India, with a cabinet minister rank. He represented the Begusarai Lok Sabha constituency.

Ashwini Vaishnaw: A former IAS officer, he held significant ministerial portfolios in the Government of India. Since 2021, he has been serving as the 39th Minister of Railways, the 55th Communications Minister, and the 2nd Electronics & Information Technology Minister. Additionally, Vaishnaw has been representing Odisha in the Rajya Sabha since 2019.

Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia: He held ministerial positions in the second Narendra Modi ministry from 2021, serving as the Minister of Civil Aviation and Steel. He has been a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha, representing the state of Madhya Pradesh, since 2020.

Hardeep Singh Puri: A former diplomat, he held dual ministerial portfolios in the previous Modi government. He served as the Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas, as well as the Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs in the current Modi ministry. Puri also holds the distinction of being the longest-serving Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs in history.

Gangapuram Kishan Reddy: He held the position of Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Development of North Eastern Region of India. He has been a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party since 1980 and represents Secunderabad as a Member of Parliament since 2019.

Chandrakant Raghunath Patil: Commonly known as C R Patil, he has been elected as a Member of Parliament from Navsari in Gujarat. Since 2020, he has held the position of President of the BJP Gujarat State unit. Notably, he is the first non-Gujarati to hold this position.

Gajendra Singh Shekhawat: He held the position of Union Cabinet Minister in the Ministry of Jal Shakti in the second Modi ministry. He represents the Jodhpur constituency in the Lok Sabha as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Bhupendra Yadav: A BJP MP, has been sworn in as a minister in the Narendra Modi government. He previously served as the Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest, and Climate Change in the previous government.

Annapurna Devi: A BJP MP who secured the largest margin victory in Jharkhand, has been sworn in as a minister in the NDA government. The 55-year-old BJP leader previously served as the Minister of State for Education during PM Modi's first term from 2014 to 2019.
