Srinagar: An Army jawan was killed on Sunday when Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir.
The Pakistani troops violated the ceasefire in north Kashmir's Uri sector by resorting to unprovoked firing on Indian posts, an Army officer said.
The Army jawan, who was injured in the Pakistani firing, was taken to a medical facility for treatment, where he succumbed, he said.
On Friday, an Army jawan was killed when Pakistani troops resorted to firing and shelling along the LoC in Rajouri district. Two jawans were also injured in the Pakistani shelling in Akhnoor sector of Jammu district.
During the firing and shelling by the Pakistan troops, one injured jawan, identified as Naik Subash Thapa, 25, was evacuated to the Military Command Hospital Udhampur, but later succumbed to injuries, the spokesperson said.
