Syed Salman (21), Muhamad Mudasir (24) and Syed Tauhid (28) were arrested by the police. The gang used to target motorists on the 80-ft road at Thalaghattapura in South Bengaluru.
Truck driver Bhaskar (44), a Chandapura native, was murdered on November 3. Two days later, at the same spot, another driver was robbed.
The culprits were identified from CCTV camera footage after which SI Subramani, constables Pradeep and Mahesh laid a trap. They lay in wait at the spot as drivers in a truck. When the gang members attacked them, they were caught.
