Thiruvananthapuram: Candidates who have got allotment for medical and allied courses should secure admission from the respective colleges before 3pm on November 26 after paying the prescribed fee.
The fee to be paid to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) should be remitted online or via any head post office from Saturday, November 21, to Thursday, November 26.
Those who do not remit the fee within the stipulated time and secure admission at the colleges will lose out on the allotment and higher options later.
Those who have got allotment should download the data sheet from the CEE home page. Candidates should submit the allotment memo, data sheet and other documents mentioned in the prospectus during admission. The printout of the allotment memo should be taken as it bears the candidates' name, roll number, course, college, category and fees.
Though options expressed by candidates were accepted for the Karuna Medical College in Palakkad, it was not included in the latest allotment following the government's instructions. This college would be considered in the next phase of seat allotment.

Those who have got allotment in the NRI quota at the self-financing medical and dental colleges need to submit the necessary documents mentioned in the allotment memo two days before the second-phase allotment or within one month of the first-phase allotment (whichever is first).
The annual tuition fee at self-financing medical colleges and the maximum amount demanded by the managements have been notified on the CEE website.
Candidates from the SC/ST and OEC categories, the children of fisherfolk, others eligible for fee waiver as well as students from the Sree Chitra Home for Destitutes and Infirm and Nirbhaya Shelter Homes have been exempted from the payment of fees. However, if these students get allotment for the minority-NRI seat at self-financing medical colleges, they are not eligible for fee waiver and will have to pay the token fee.
Self-financing fee: Undertaking should also be given
Those who got allotment to self-financing medical colleges have to only pay the fee mentioned in the notification issued by the government on November 11. This is the fee recommended by the Justice Rajendra Babu Committee. But if the fee fixed by the court or a court-appointed authority is higher than this, then the candidates will have to pay it.
A template of the undertaking, that the candidates are ready to pay the additional amount, is given on the website. This should be given to the college authorities. Only the fee mentioned in the allotment memo must be remitted at the college.
The semester fee for Bachelor of Fisheries Sciences course has been increased to Rs 8,052.
