Allianz Technology India, which is part of the Allianz Group--one of the world's leading insurers and asset managers--has announced its collaboration with the Kerala Startup mission.
As a first step, it will join hands with Kerala Blockchain Academy (KBA) to enhance the skills of entrepreneurs.
Blockchain is a newly emerging technology in the digital world that enables information distribution. Originally developed for cryptocurrency Bitcoin, the technology has been found useful in maintaining an incorruptible digital ledger in a trail of transactions.
Allianz Technology will also mentor, support and evaluate promising startups in the country that could potentially bring value to the Insure tech ecosystem.
Ashish Patel, CEO Allianz Technology India, said the collaboration with the Kerala Startup Mission and the Kerala Blockchain Academy is a milestone for his organisation. This provides a great opportunity for us to build expertise in next-generation technology, knowledge sharing and be a part of the transformational journey,”

Select startups from India have been invited to a pitch round with Mascher during his visit. The collaboration coincides with Allianz Technology India’s internal digital innovation contest, “Digithon”.
The KBA, a 2017 initiative of the state government under Indian Institute of Information and Technology and Management, Kerala with many international collaborations to explore the disruptive potential of the blockchain technology for achieving public good through capacity building to promote research, development and entrepreneurship.
