Nissan has unveiled the new look of the Sunny, which is its most popular model in the international market, at the recent New York International Auto Show. The US version of the model, called the Nissan Versa, was exhibited ahead of its debut on the American roads. The car which will be launched in the United States of America this year itself is expected to make its debut in India by next year. The currently exhibited model is the 11th generation of the Sunny which has dominated the auto mobile markets since 1966.

The last time Sunny got a facelift was in 2011 and the auto mobile lovers have waited for 9 years to see the 11th generation model. It was also in 2011 that Nissan Sunny had debuted in India. The latest model gets some signature design elements found in the Altima sedan which is popular in the American auto mobile market. The V – motion grille, boomerang – shaped LED head lamps, the day time running lamp and the dual tone bumper makes the front part of the car incredibly attractive.
The sides are sportier than the previous model of the Nissan Sunny. Diamond cut alloy wheels, beautiful LED tail lamps and spacious boot makes this model stand out. The black themed roomy interiors have leather finishes and are classy. 1.6 liters 4 cylinder engines power up the American version of the Nissan Sunny. It offers 122 horsepower and a 155 Nm torque. It is also paired with enhanced Xtronic transmission and a 5 – speed manual.
