As the crisis situation in the field of energy production is being discussed globally, as well as the prospect of exploring newer possibilities, the research done by Dr. G. Reena mol is getting much recognition. Dr G. Reenamol, who is happy to receive this year's Kairali research award, is thinking about how her studies can be used for social progress.

We are happy to know that Marthoma College teacher Dr G Reenamol got an award for excellence in science. Teachers should be able to motivate students to approach the subjects of study in a broader sense beyond the books. Teachers like Reenamol who work to harness the potential of knowledge at a practical level certainly deserve accolades - Dr. Varghese Mathew (Principal, Marthoma College).

Using dye-sensitized solar cells, energy production is possible on an industrial basis as well as for personal use at a relatively low cost.

As such materials can be recycled, various levels of pollution can be reduced to a certain extent. These are very useful for traveling and other purposes as they can be used to make self-charging devices using direct or indirect sunlight.

In the future, Dr G Reenamol has in mind plans to improve the quality of life of the public by using the potential of her research in inland villages that are yet to get electricity and in technologically backward areas.

It is a matter of happiness and pride that Miss Reenamol received the Kairali Research Award. Her passion for research, scientific approach, and strong sense of purpose led to this award. May her ideas shine through for many projects that will be an asset for the future - Dr. Neema Animangalam (Head of Department, Department of Chemistry).

Dr G. Reenamol said that children who study chemistry as their main subject have many different branches in front of them and by working as an enterprise in harmony with other science subjects, they can participate in improving the general economic status of the country. She also shared her hope in changing our learning environment towards an educational environment conducive to the growth of research-minded people, including women.
