Six officers at the Federal Bank will ride motor bikes from Kochi to Delhi as part of a women empowerment campaign that the bank has organised. The bank says 36 women officers came forward as the “Motorcycle Angels” plan was floated.

Febina, Merlin Hamlet, Sita V Nair, Lavanya, Surya Raveendran and Sangeetha Sikhamani were selected on the basis of experience in riding bikes. The team, aged 22 to 41, include married ones as well as mothers. There are clerks and senior managers among them. The common link is the passion for bike riding.
