Sree Annam:
- Yield: 30-40 tons per hectare.
- Yellow in colour.
- High carotene content (0.270 mg/100g).
- Good cooking quality; cooks well.
- Very low starch content.
- Harvesting period: 9-10 months.
- Moderately drought-resistant.
- High resistance to mosaic disease.
- Short internodal distance.
- Grows to approximately 1.5 meters in height.
- Tubers can be stored for up to 7 days without spoilage.
Sree Manna:
- Yield: 40-50 tons per hectare with only 25% of the recommended fertilizer.
- Good cooking quality; cooks well; tasty.
- Low starch content (50-75 ppm), resulting in a sweeter tuber.
- Grows to 1.5 – 2 meters in height.
- High resistance to mosaic disease.
Planting material:
Limited miniset planting material samples are available at the CTCRI sales counter. Commercially viable planting material for cultivation will be available by April-May 2025.
